STEAM in the Scene integrates the fascinating world of steampunk with S.T.E.A.M. concepts. Students enter a retro-futuristic adventure, exploring the fundamentals of S.T.E.A.M. while bringing a captivating steampunk narrative to life.

Learning Outcomes

Students will collaboratively create original steampunk-inspired scenes and characters that integrate core STEAM concepts, demonstrating their ability to generate, develop, and organize artistic ideas. (Theatre - Creating: Anchor Standards 1 & 2)

Students will design and construct costumes, props, or set pieces that reflect the steampunk aesthetic, using principles of visual art and engineering to bring their characters and stories to life. (Visual Arts - Creating: Anchor Standards 1 & 2)

Students will rehearse and perform scenes that showcase their understanding of character motivation, storytelling, and problem-solving within a fictional STEAM-based narrative. (Theatre - Performing: Anchor Standards 4 & 5)
