The registration form must be filled out and the class fee has been paid in full before the first day of class. We cannot guarantee participation in a class without completed registration and payment.

No. Our classes are built so that each week, students add on to what they learned the previous week. It is not possible to join a class after the first class of the semester has occurred.

Is there a way for my student to audit a class before committing to a full session?

Absolutely. We have PEAK-IN Session, which is a 45 minute after school workshop we offer to schools as a way for students and teachers to see us in action. This workshop is taught by one of our teaching artists. Students can expect to engage in a variety of theatre games and activities. If you are interested in coordinating an audit, please go to Book a Free Demo and fill out the form. A PEAK Team member will contact you within 72 hours. Please note: a minimum of 10 students is required to be present for one of our teachers to visit your school.

What is your cancellation policy for classes & workshops?

  • If you cancel your registration less than 48 hours before the class starts no refund or credit will be issued. Registration holds a student's spot in a class, making it unavailable for other students to register for that spot. We hope our class is a great fit but, if after the first day of class, you choose not to continue for any reason, We are happy to offer credit for another class, but will not issue a refund.

  • If you cancel 72 hours before the class begins you'll receive a refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.

  • In the event, we do not have at least 7 students enrolled in a class, class will be cancelled and parents will be issued a full refund. We will notify parents at least 24 hours before the start of class.

What should my student bring to class?

First and foremost, students should bring their passion, can do attitude, and imagination! All students should wear comfortable clothes to move with closed-toed shoes that will stay on the feet when jumping, crawling and rolling around. Please bring a light snack and water bottle.

Is there a final performance showcase?

In PEAK Theatre Arts, the focus is on exploration, technique, and “process” rather than “product”. That being said, we like to give students the opportunity to share what they have been learning with an audience, so all of our classes will give a showcase. Friends, family and community members are invited to attend.

Does everyone get to have a role in the play?

There is opportunity for students to shine centerstage as well as backstage, whether they are acting or working as a set designer, costume designer or even stage manager. We believe theatre arts offers a robust of opportunities to create, learn and grow. Students will be able to choose between performance or production and our teaching artists will nurture their interests. For students who are interested in performance, everyone will have a speaking role in the play, and a chance to shine, although not every role will have the same number of lines to memorize. As we say in theatre, "there are no small parts in only, small actors." This is our way to encourage our students to make the most of the role they have to play.

How are roles determined?

The “audition process” is very informal so both experienced and beginning  actors feel comfortable. On the first day of class, our teaching artist will lead the in a series of acting games and improv exercises and observe the way each student uses their voice, body and imagination. Although students have the opportunity to express the role or position they would like to play, PEAK teaching artist will make all final choices when assigning the roles and positions to each student.

What should my child wear for dress rehearsals and showcases?

All students should wear a black bottom, a white top and comfortable closed toe shoes. Any costumes or props will be provided by PEAK.
