COVID Policy

What to you need to know about wellness and participating in PEAK Theatre Arts? If your child/student is sick and/or could possibly be contagious, please do not send them to PEAK Theatre Arts. Email or call PEAK Theatre Arts staff to note your child's/students absence.

What happens if my child is exposed to someone with COVID-19?

If your child has had close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19:

  • If no symptoms develop, they may attend camp, regardless of vaccination status.

    • We recommend they monitor for symptoms for 10 days.

    • A Day 5 COVID test is recommended but not required.

    • If feasible, wearing a mask indoors for 5 days after exposure is encouraged.

  • If your child develops any symptoms, follow the guidance below for symptomatic campers.

What if my child has COVID-19 symptoms?

If your child is showing symptoms commonly associated with COVID-19 (fever, cough, sore throat, etc.):

To return to camp, one of the following must be met:

  • Be fever-free for 24 hours (without medication) AND have a negative rapid or PCR test,
    OR

  • Receive a confirmed alternate diagnosis from a licensed healthcare provider,
    OR

  • Stay home for at least 5 days and return once symptoms have improved and they have been fever-free for 24 hours.

What if my child tests positive for COVID-19?

If your child receives a positive COVID-19 test result:

  • They must isolate for at least 5 full days from symptom onset or the positive test date (if asymptomatic).

  • They may return to camp on Day 6 only if:

    • They are fever-free for 24 hours without medication,

    • Symptoms have improved, AND

    • They provide a negative rapid or PCR test.

  • It is strongly recommended that they wear a mask indoors through Day 10.

Equity Statement
At PEAK Theatre Arts, equity is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating inclusive, affirming spaces where all young people, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, ability, language, or socioeconomic background, can thrive creatively and personally. Our programs intentionally center voices and stories that have been historically excluded from traditional theatre spaces, ensuring that every student feels seen, heard, and valued. We believe that true learning happens when everyone has equitable access to opportunities, support, and the power of self-expression.
