What makes PEAK unique?
Founded in 2019 in Inglewood, California, Peak Theatre Arts was created to expand access to high-quality, culturally sustaining theatre in after-school and expanded learning spaces. We are proud to be a national leader in culturally sustaining drama education, offering joyful programs that center youth voice, creativity, and belonging.
The PEAK Framework™ guides our work — a culturally sustaining approach that blends theatre artistry, social–emotional learning, and 21st-century skills into every lesson.
P – Prepare the Space: Build a sense of belonging, affirm identity, and ground in culture.
E – Explore Through Drama: Discover, imagine, and co-create through play.
A – Activate the Story: Bring ideas to life through rehearsal and performance.
K – Keep It Going: Reflect, celebrate, and carry the learning beyond the stage.
Every Peak curriculum aligns with California’s VAPA Standards and integrates Social–Emotional Learning through storytelling, collaboration, and creative discovery. Our original scripts and student-devised plays are crafted to reflect the richness, diversity, and brilliance of every student and community we serve.
