What We Do
We are not traditional “memorize this script” drama classes. We offer students the mic.
We provide drama education residencies and workshops that are:
-
Student-led: Students write, devise, direct, and create.
-
Story-driven: Every lesson nurtures a love for reading, writing, and storytelling. Students use imagination and critical thinking to build characters, shape plots, and devise narratives that honor their ideas, identities, and worldviews.
-
Culturally Sustaining: Drama work is rooted in the stories, languages, identities, and lived experiences students bring—allowing them to create from who they are, not whom adults expect them to be.
-
Joyful and community-centered: The classroom becomes a safe, supportive, collaborative ensemble.
Who We Serve
We partner with Out-of-School Time (OST) & Expanded Learning (ELOP) providers, and schools in under-resourced communities, ensuring access to high-quality drama programming.
Peak partners with:
-
After-school & expanded learning programs
-
K–8 public, charter, and community schools
-
Homeschool co-ops
-
Families seeking meaningful arts experiences
-
Libraries, community centers, and resource organizations
Whether a school has a stage, multipurpose room, or a classroom, our work adapts to the space, students, and celebrates the community within it.

Our Why
At Peak Theatre Arts, we believe every child arrives whole, brilliant, and carrying a story worth sharing. Our purpose is simple: create the space where youth and the stories they bring can shine.
In every residency, students’ ideas, humor, creativity, and imagination take center stage. We celebrate their voices in community because young people deserve more than access to the arts — they deserve to be truly seen, heard, and valued.
Peak is a place where youth belong, create, and share the stories that matter most to them.
Our Social Enterprise Model
Peak Theatre Arts is a mission-driven arts education company. Revenue generated from Peak Backstage, our resource and education hub for OST professionals, is reinvested in Peak Theatre Arts summer camps and drama residencies, subsidizing program costs so more students have access to high-quality drama programs.
