What We Do
At Peak, students don’t just participate in theatre—they lead it.
Our programs are:
-
Student-led: Students write, devise, direct, and create.
-
Story-driven: Every lesson nurtures a love for reading, writing, and storytelling. Students use imagination and critical thinking to build characters, shape plots, and devise narratives that honor their ideas, identities, and worldviews.
-
Culturally grounded: Drama work is rooted in the stories, languages, identities, and lived experiences students bring with them—allowing them to create from who they are, not who adults expect them to be.
-
Joyful and community-centered: The classroom becomes a safe, supportive, collaborative ensemble.
Who We Serve
We prioritize Expanded Learning (ELOP), OST programs, and high-need schools — ensuring that young people who often lack access to the arts receive high-quality, culturally sustaining drama instruction.
We partner with:
-
After-school programs
-
School districts
-
Libraries
-
Community-based organizations
Our work exists to provide a spotlight for every story, especially in communities where access to the arts has historically been limited.

Our Why
At Peak Theatre Arts, we believe every child arrives whole, brilliant, and carrying a story worth sharing. Our purpose is simple: create the space where youth and the stories they bring can shine.
In every residency, students’ ideas, humor, creativity, and imagination take center stage. We celebrate their voices in community because young people deserve more than access to the arts — they deserve to be truly seen, heard, and valued.
Peak is a place where youth belong, create, and share the stories that matter most to them.
Our Social Enterprise Model
Peak operates with a dual purpose:
1. Deliver high-quality drama instruction through residencies, after-school programs, summer camps, and student-led performances.
2. Develop culturally grounded drama curriculum & digital products that support educators, expanded learning providers, and families who want meaningful, student-centered arts experiences.
As we grow, we strategically reinvest in expanding access to drama education in the communities we serve. This approach keeps Peak mission-led, sustainable, and impact-focused—without relying on grants or donations.
